Looking for a good way to help out in the community? Now’s your chance; on October 24th You can join other locals in the area for the Make a Difference Day. From 8:00 AM until 12 noon at the Mililani recreational center 7 there will be a variety of ways you can help in the community. There will be a pet adoption and pet supply drive, donation for women’s professional clothing, accessories, dry goods and care package items, E-Cycle Sign Waving and Tunnel Painting.
There will be a variety of people they are accepting donations such as small toys, school supplies, women’s professional clothing, gently used clothing and dry goods, we will be working on panel painting, collecting donations for pet supplies and more.
The tunnel painting will be the Kamehameha highway tunnel connecting to Rec 1. The paint will be provided by Sherman Williams. You can assist with the beautification of this highway tunnel so we are closing shoes that you don’t mind getting paint time.
For sign waving, this will be from 8:00 AM until 9:30 AM. You can bring your own sign with a safe driving themes such as “slow down”, “drive with Aloha”, “don’t text and drive” etc. Will also have signs available. This will be at the corner of the Mililani McDonald’s and Kamehameha Hwy.
The E0Cycle and donation collections will be happening in Rec room 7 from 8:00 AM until 12 noon. Shifts happen from 8:00 AM until 8:30 AM, 8:30 AM until 9:00 AM, 9 AM until 9:30 AM.
If you want to volunteer for helping out that day by organizing and such you will need to fill out a waiver and release liability form, which is available on the website.
